Conte: All Chelsea Players Bad, Not Just Batshuayi
Chelsea manager, Antonio Conte, admitted disappointed with the defeat of his team from Crystal Palace. He assessed the players of The Blues play bad in the game.
Chelsea fell 1-2 at the hands of Crystal Palace in advanced matches in the Premier League at Selhurst Park, last weekend. In this match, Conte plays Michy Batshuayi as a starter to replace injured Alvaro Morata.
Unfortunately, the appearance of the Belgian player was disappointing. He failed to score goals and help his team.
“Why should you talk about Batshuayi and not the other players? I think the overall performance of the team is bad, not just one player or two players, but all the players,” Conte said as quoted by Soccerway.
“Our performance is bad, but I believe in every player I try to give everybody a chance to take their chances but also because we only have two strikers, Alvaro Morata and then Batshuayi,” he added.
When pulled out at minute 57, Batshuayi looks very disappointed. In Conte’s eyes, this is normal. “I do not see Batshuayi’s reaction when it’s replaced, but it’s normal if he gets angry after a bad performance, but against Palace, every player has a bad performance,” Conte added.
Chelsea are now ranked fifth in the standings with 13 points. The Blues are seven points behind Manchester City on the throne.
